Affiliate programme
Programme terms
Last updated 25 August 2026.
The short version
You share a link. If someone books through it within 90 days and they're new to us, you earn 10% of what they pay. We confirm it 7 days after they've checked out, and pay you monthly once you've reached 50.00 EUR. Everything below is the detail behind those four sentences.
1 · Who can join
The programme is open to individuals and businesses who can introduce guests to Sohlara Retreats. You need to be 18 or over and legally able to receive payment in your country.
Applications are reviewed by hand. We may decline one without giving a reason, and we may close the programme to new partners at any time. Joining creates no employment, agency or partnership relationship — you promote us independently and cannot make commitments on our behalf.
2 · Your link and how credit works
Once approved you get a unique referral code and a link that carries it. When someone clicks that link we store the code in their browser for 90 days. If they book in that window, the booking is credited to you.
The last link clicked wins. If a visitor arrives through your link and later through another partner's, the booking is credited to the other partner. This is the standard rule in affiliate programmes and the one we apply in every dispute.
Three things we want you to know upfront, because they affect what you earn:
- Credit is stored in the browser that clicked. If someone clicks on their phone and books on a laptop, we cannot connect the two and no commission is earned.
- If a visitor declines marketing cookies, or clears them, the credit goes with them.
- Bookings made through Airbnb, Booking.com or another travel site are not tracked, even if you sent the guest. Only bookings completed on sohlararetreats.com count.
Your code belongs to us and stays tied to your account. Don't share it with other people to use as their own.
3 · What you earn
The standard commission is 10%. We may agree a different rate with you individually; if we have, it's shown on your dashboard and it's the one that applies.
Commission is calculated on the booking value after any discount the guest used, and excludes the cleaning fee, which is a direct cost rather than margin. Your dashboard shows the exact figure each commission was calculated on.
Only a guest's first booking earns commission. The programme rewards bringing us someone new. If the person has booked with us before — through you, through another partner, or directly — that booking doesn't earn.
No commission is earned on:
- your own bookings, or bookings made with your own email address;
- bookings by someone who has already stayed with us;
- bookings that are cancelled, refunded or charged back;
- bookings placed before you were approved.
4 · When you get paid
A commission moves through three stages, all visible on your dashboard:
From the moment the guest pays. The booking still has to happen.
7 days after the guest checks out. By then the stay has happened and the window for cancellations and card disputes has closed. For retreats, 7 days after the retreat ends.
In the next monthly payout run, once your confirmed balance reaches 50.00 EUR. Below that, the balance carries over — nothing is lost, it just waits.
We pay by bank transfer by default; PayPal, Wise and cash are available on request. Keep your payment details current in your account — we can't pay what we can't send, and we're not responsible for money lost to details you entered incorrectly. Every payout comes with a PDF statement listing the commissions it covers.
5 · Cancellations, refunds and disputes
If a booking is cancelled or fully refunded, its commission is cancelled too. If a guest raises a card dispute, we cancel the commission when the dispute opens; if we later win it, tell us and we'll reinstate it.
Partial refunds are reviewed one by one — we'll adjust the commission to match what the guest actually paid. If a commission was already paid out when the booking falls through, we'll offset it against your next payout rather than ask you for the money back.
6 · How you may promote us
Share your link on your website, newsletter, social channels, or directly with people you think would enjoy staying with us. Be honest about what Sohlara is and be clear that you earn a commission where the law where you live requires it — in most places, it does.
You may not:
- bid on "Sohlara", "Sohlara Retreats" or close variants in paid search, or use them in display URLs;
- register domains, social accounts or email addresses that could be mistaken for ours;
- send unsolicited email or messages, or post your link as spam;
- list your code on coupon, cashback or voucher sites without asking us first;
- advertise discounts, prices or offers we haven't published;
- load your code into browsers automatically, through pop-unders, iframes, redirects or extensions;
- place your link alongside adult, illegal, hateful or misleading content.
Please don't contact our guests. You'll never see their full details, and approaching them about their booking is grounds for closing your account.
7 · What you can see about guests
Your dashboard shows that a booking happened, what it was worth and what it earned you. It does not show the guest's name, phone number or full email — those belong to them, and you have no legal basis to hold them. Email addresses are partly hidden so you can recognise your own referrals and nothing more.
8 · Tax
Commission is gross income paid to you. Declaring and paying tax on it is yours to handle, under the rules of wherever you're resident. If you're a business, invoice us and we'll pay against the invoice. We may need your tax number before the first payout, and we may have to withhold tax or report the payment where the law requires it.
9 · Suspension and leaving
You can leave whenever you like — tell us and we'll pay any confirmed balance in the next run. Commissions still on hold will be paid once they confirm normally.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we do, we still pay commissions that were properly earned. We'll withhold payment only for commissions generated by fraud or by the conduct listed in section 6, and we'll tell you which ones and why.
10 · Changes
We may change these terms, the commission rate or the payout schedule. We'll email you at least 30 days before anything that reduces what you earn, and commissions already earned are settled under the terms that applied when they were earned. Continuing to use your link after a change means you accept it.
11 · Law and getting in touch
These terms are governed by Spanish law, and disputes go to the courts of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Questions about a commission, a payout or anything above: contact@sohlararetreats.com. Tell us the referral code and the date, and we'll look it up.
